Healthy Eating For Successful Living in Older Adults

The focus of this program is on nutrition strategies to maintain or improve heart and bone health and to prevent chronic disease development or progression. Topics covered include:

  • MyPlate
  • Label reading and portion control
  • Staying physically active
  • Behavior change techniques

By participating in the program, individuals build a sense of empowerment as they learn how to make healthy dietary choices. The program also includes support for physical activity in conjunction with learning about nutrition. The workshop series celebrates the importance of food in living a happy and healthy life.
