Part Time Dining Center Manager (up to 6 hours per week)

Location: Athol & Orange

General Description:

The Congregate Dining Center Manager shall be responsible for the overall operation of the Congregate Dining Center and recruitment and supervision of the Center’s volunteers.

Qualifications

Pleasant personality and ability to interact well with others; excellent communication skills; experience working with elders; prior experience in food service/cooking; driver's license and reliable transportation to attend meetings; knowledge of local social service network desirable; accurate mathematical and recordkeeping skills.

Duties

  1. Oversee the operation of the Dining Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    1. Recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers;
    2. making advance meal reservations;
    3. overseeing proper handling of the food, according to LifePath-approved sanitation procedures;
    4. checking and ensuring proper food temperatures prior to serving food;
    5. ensuring proper portion control;
    6. serving the meal;
    7. clean-up after the meal;
    8. reporting all food-related problems to central office staff;
    9. requisitioning Dining Center supplies as needed;
    10. arranging for special diet meals.
