Walker Information

Welcome Walkers to the 28th season of the LifePath Walkathon!

The power of community that you’ve brought to the Walkathon over the years has been and continues to be integral to the well-being of those we serve. This year, the focus of the Walkathon event will be expanded so that funds raised may directly support underfunded LifePath programs. Receiving generosity from the community in this way offers LifePath the flexibility to make independence an option in every way possible through Meals on Wheels, In-Home Services, Benefits Counseling, Protective Services, SHINE, Healthy Living, Money Management, and more.

Here are some details as we head toward the May 2 VIRTUAL event!

Register!

Take a moment to register yourself and your team mates, or encourage them to register themselves.  We're hoping to have a good sense of who is participating by April 1st.

When is the 2020 Walkathon?

Saturday, May 2, 2020. Details on the virtual event are forthcoming.

Where will it take place?

We want to host the event, but must consider more creative options since having to practice social distancing and not gather in groups of any size. In response, our plan is to host a virtual event rather than coming together in a physical location. This feels like the best way to honor support, protect the health of our community, and provide for the needs that exist, now more than ever.

It's as Easy as 1-2-3

  1. Build Your Team—or come as an individual walker. Start today! LifePath's 2020 Walkathon is a great opportunity for your club, school, agency, church, or business to help elders in our community.
  1. Collect Donations. In an effort to observe social distancing, use a personalized link to ask friends and family for online donations. If you don't have one yet, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. (Many team captains have been contacted with a team link!) Once set up, share the link through social media, email, or text. Donors give directly online and, because it's your personal or team link, your tally will increase before your very eyes!
  1. Enjoy the Walkathon. We're going virtual this year.  As plans come together in this moment of constant change, we will communicate those details. Thank you for your patience.
