Healthy Living workshopHealthy Living workshops offer a chance to learn about ways to improve your health in a supportive group.

With a “Chronic Pain Self-Management” workshop, you can take control of your pain.

If you or your loved one is experiencing chronic pain, check out the Chronic Pain Self-Management, starting May 10 and ending June 14, from 2:30 to 5 p.m., at the Greenfield Senior Center. This workshop will show you ways to become an active participant in your pain treatment – engaging in problem-solving, pacing, decision-making, and taking actions to manage your pain.

The workshop starts on May 25, 2017, and takes place from 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the YMCA in Greenfield through June 29. You’ll learn about healthy eating habits and how to stick to dietary changes as well as ways to stay physically active.

Pat recently attended a Healthy Eating workshop series. “It was very interesting, very interesting, and every week we’d have something good to eat.” Pat says that after learning “about our calcium, and our fruits and protein, when I went to the grocery store, I was reading my labels more.”

Pat also enjoyed attending workshops with other people. “Well, everybody talked, so I think we all learn from each other,” she explains. “I think you can absorb more if you do it in a group. Do it by yourself – I’d probably just set the book aside and leave it.”
