Learn how to protect yourself against scams and identity theft

May 2017 Consumer protection events photoPresenters will be, from left to right, Assistant Attorney General Ann Lynch and Janice Garrett, director of the Consumer Protection Unit of the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.At two local events this spring, Janice Garrett, director of the Consumer Protection Unit at the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, and Ann Lynch, assistant attorney general, will present information about how elders can protect themselves against scams and identity theft. Garett and Attorney Lynch will discuss fraud prevention, including the latest scams to avoid, identity theft, how to be a savvy consumer, and hints on dealing with those pesky telemarketers.

These events are free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served. Registration in advance is requested. Contact the supportive housing coordinator at LifePath at 413-834-1464 to sign up.
