A wish and a rod bring friendship and outdoor fun to people with disabilities

June 2017 CHD feature photoThe Adaptive Fishing Program is a big hit!Disability Resources at the Center for Human Development (CHD) provides barrier-free recreational and competitive opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities or visual impairments. Through a variety of activities, from adaptive sports and recreational outings to social gatherings and educational events, Disability Resources seeks to enhance the self-confidence, interactive skills and physical abilities of our program participants.

CHD's Disability Resources Adaptive Fishing Program is located at the West Springfield Fish and Game Club in Feeding Hills. The Wednesday night, eight-week program is a huge hit among kids and adults with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, or visual impairments.
