National Grid is temporarily suspending collections-related activities, including service disconnections, to lessen any financial hardship the COVID-19 pandemic may have on our customers. These policies are effective immediately and will be in place through the end of April. Continued need will be evaluated at that time. Regular billing will continue for all customers.
The Keep America Connected Pledge calls on internet and telephone service providers to promote connectivity during the crisis. Many companies have committed to taking the pledge. As part of the Keep America Connected Pledge, Verizon will waive late fees and not terminate service for anyone that is affected by disruptions caused by the corona virus. It is not yet clear if you will need proof that you were impacted to receive these exceptions.
