How Adult Family Care works

  • You can receive personal care from a caregiving family, rather than a nursing home or institution.

  • You will be provided with a private room, meals, and assistance with dressing, bathing, medication management, and transportation to medical appointments, depending on your particular needs.

  • Caregivers are paid a tax-free stipend for their work and receive regular support from a professional nurse, care manager, and community health worker.

Who Can Be a Caregiver?

Caregivers can include a participant’s family member (excluding spouse, parent of a minor, or legal guardian) or an unrelated individual wanting to enhance the life of a participant by caring for them in their home. If you would like to explore becoming a paid caregiver, contact us.
