People meeting on Zoom for a health workshop

The goal is to provide health education, peer support and behavior change for people in the community who have chronic conditions as well as their caregivers.

Programs

These 6- to 8-week evidence-based workshop series provide information, practical skills, and peer support for people living with long-term health conditions. Together, we learn how to better manage our health and improve the quality of our lives. Workshops are led by a team of two trained leaders, often volunteers, who are also living with chronic conditions.

We offer workshops in person, by phone and online. Live video conferencing workshops offer the full interactive curriculum, but on a Zoom platform, with books and handouts mailed to your home and technical support for those new to video conferencing.

These programs have been shown to help people:

  • feel more hopeful and supported
  • have more energy and experience less fatigue
  • exercise more
  • experience better relationships with their doctors
  • and reduce doctor and emergency room visits.

Join us, and gain confidence to better manage our health!
