General Description:
We are currently seeking a Benefits Support Specialist who will help older adults and people with disabilities connect to benefits to pay for health insurance, food, and other resources. The Benefits Specialist will assist with completion of and gathering of necessary documentation and forms. Services may be provided in person, virtually, or telephonically.
This is a full-time, 35 hour per week, 19-month grant funded position with the possibility of extended funding.
It is a hybrid position, based out of our Greenfield office, that requires travel throughout Franklin and Hampshire Counties and the North Quabbin area.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a Human Services-related field with a minimum of three years’ experience preferred
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Good listening and engagement skills
- Resourcefulness and critical thinking ability
- Organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills: respectful, courteous, and “customer service oriented”
- Time management and flexibility
- Team-oriented and collaborative attitude
- Computer proficiency and technical proficiency

Pay rate is $21.60 per hour.
